The relationship between parents and children is one of life’s most important bonds. Every child has a unique way of expressing emotions, understanding the world, and seeking connection. Many family conflicts arise not from a lack of love, but from different needs, expectations, and communication styles.
The Destiny Matrix can be used as a symbolic tool for family reflection. It may help parents consider a child’s talents, emotional needs, challenges, and individuality while also examining their own reactions and expectations.
How to Calculate the Parent–Child Relationship Points
Whenever a result is greater than 22, add its digits until the value falls between 1 and 22.
Step 1: Point A
Point A is the birth day. Day 11 gives A = 11; day 25 gives 2 + 5 = 7.
Step 2: Point B
Point B is the birth month. July gives B = 7 and November gives B = 11.
Step 3: Point C
Add the digits of the birth year. For 1989:
1 + 9 + 8 + 9 = 27 2 + 7 = 9
Therefore, C = 9.
Step 4: Point D
D = A + B + C
Step 5: Point E
E = A + B + C + D
Step 6: Point A1
A1 = A + E
Step 7: Point A2
A2 = A + A1
What the Points Represent
- A: what you can develop to create a close and harmonious relationship with your children.
- A1: what your child may teach you.
- A2: what you may receive or learn through parenthood.
Calculation Example
Birth date: November 11, 1974
- A = 11
- B = 11
- C = 1 + 9 + 7 + 4 = 21
- D = 11 + 11 + 21 = 43 → 7
- E = 11 + 11 + 21 + 7 = 50 → 5
- A1 = 11 + 5 = 16
- A2 = 11 + 16 = 27 → 9

A Relationship Built Through Presence
No number replaces attentive parenting. The most valuable elements remain affection, boundaries, honest communication, safety, respect for individuality, and a willingness to repair the relationship after mistakes.
This article uses the Destiny Matrix as a symbolic aid for reflection. It does not replace evidence-based parenting guidance, family counseling, or professional mental-health support.
